We are looking for enthusiastic Guest Experience Hosts to help us in creating magical memories for our guests in San Jose's ultimate indoor LEGOLAND Discovery Center experience!
About the Role
Do you love LEGO? Do you like theme parks? Are you good with kids? If this sounds like you then join in the fun as a Guest Experience Host! Compensation for this role is $16.65/hour.
When in a Guest Experience role, you will:
- Operate the rides
- Usher guests and make announcements for 4D movies (letting guests know they will get wet!)
- Guide guests to build imaginative LEGO creations, (can you help our guests land their rocket ship on every planet?)
- Teach kids the importance of play (at the top of a volcano or over a crocodile!)
- Interact with guests as a Costume Character or Character Assistant (make sure the photo opp is just right!)
- Be “Guest Obsessed” and provide exemplary customer service.
- Have fun!
When in an Admissions role, you will:
- Greet and welcome guests with eye contact and a smile
- Answer questions about attraction ticket packages and pricing
- Direct and assist guests on kiosk purchases
- Sell/Scan tickets and annual passes at point of sale
- Learn and execute upselling sales targets
- Facilitate admission for groups, field trips, and birthday parties
- Delivery personalized interactions to guests (welcome back Annual Pass holders, wish Happy Birthday, etc.)
When in a Retail role, you will:
- Be the friendly face that welcomes customers.
- Answer questions about LEGO® lines, products, and releases to customers. Provide recommendations for purchase if asked.
- Operate point of sale automated systems.
- Achieve revenue goals and sales targets.
- Restock merchandise.
When in a Food and Beverage role, you will:
- Greet guests with eye contact and a smile
- Understand and explain menu offerings to guests and answer questions about food products
- Take orders and handle payment at point of sale
- Prepare food and drinks
- Maintain food safety standards
- Be “Guest Obsessed” and provide exemplary customer service
- Achieve revenue goals and upsell sales targets
About You
We are looking for candidates with hospitality experience from a variety of backgrounds (attractions, hotels, museums, retail stores, restaurants & cafes, etc.), however, prior experience is not necessary to apply!
Candidates will have:
- A contagious, positive, can-do attitude
- A guest-first mindset with excellent verbal communication skills
- The ability to prioritize and multitask under pressure
- Preferably a love for LEGO!
- Good weekday availability, especially during our industry’s peak business days on weekends, holidays, and school breaks.
- Must be at least 16 years old (18+ to operate rides)
- The ability to stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 40 pounds.
