POSITION TITLE: Grow Technician
DEPARTMENT: Cultivation
LOCATION: Denver
SALARY: $18/hour

Summary:
Technicians support Supervisors and Managers in carrying out and overseeing day-to-day production, maintenance, and upkeep of grow facility tasks. Grow Technicians may be required to do one or all the tasks listed.
RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO):
- Watering, up potting, and trellising plants.
- Pruning, topping, and cloning plants.
- Transferring plants within the facility.
- Scouting and following weekly pesticide and biological control application schedules.
- Mixing and spraying pesticides.
- Mixing and applying fertilizers.
- Batching and plant inventory.
- Responsible for plant health care and yields.
- Cleaning cultivation areas and equipment.
- Maintaining all related logs, records, and compliance software tracking.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS AND/OR ABILITIES:
- Experience with Argus control systems a plus.
- Mixing horticultural salts a plus.
- Possess the horticultural skills to provide proper plant health care.
- Basic math skills.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid MED occupational badge.
- Experience and/or education in cannabis cultivation, horticulture, or biology is preferred.
- Indoor grow production and controlled environment systems experience preferred.
- Commercial cannabis cultivation experience is preferred.
- Experience with irrigation system operation/design and plant nutrition preferred.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must possess an occupational badge through the Colorado Medical Marijuana Enforcement Division at the time employee begins work.
GUIDELINES:
Guidelines include CO MED Rules, Federal WPS Regulations, and other state, local, and federal laws as applicable.
COMPLEXITY:
Work includes monitoring plant health, making dynamic decisions independently, maintaining the facility environment to company standards, and interfacing with staff, regulators, contractors, and vendors.
SCOPE AND EFFECT:
The purpose of the work is to create ideal conditions for plant health and productivity through cultivation, maintenance, and cooperation with the Post-Harvest Team.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours a day and rotating shifts.
- Ability to work 7 days per week including holidays and weekends.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds.
- Ability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repetitively throughout a workday.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to use a ladder (up to 12 ft. extension) and general hardware tools needed for common repairs.
- Ability to wear all necessary personal protective equipment, including a full-face respirator and disposable coveralls if needed.

BENEFITS:
Cannabis Corp offers PTO at an accrual rate of 2.5 hours for every 80 hours worked.
