JOB TITLE: Group Facilitator

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Fee For Service

SCHEDULED HOURS: Varies between Monday-Thursday 5PM-8PM or 6PM-8PM

PROGRAM/LOCATION: Explore East, Danielson, CT

ABOUT THE PROGRAM: EXPLORE EAST

Manualized 26 week program for adult men convicted of a domestic violence offense. Focuses on educating offenders on the impact of violence in various relationships and utilizing skills to manage stress and emotions in a more productive way.

Interpersonal Communication: Ability to establish rapport quickly and to communicate effectively.

Collaboration & Teamwork: Ability to function effectively as a member of an inter-professional team.

Screening & Assessment: Ability to conduct brief, evidence-based and developmentally appropriate screening and to conduct or arrange a more detailed assessment.

Care Planning & Care Coordination: Ability to create and implement integrated care plans.

Intervention: Ability to provide a range of brief, focused prevention, treatment and recovery services.

Cultural Competence & Adaptation: Ability to provide services relevant to the culture of clients.

Systems Oriented Practice: Ability to function effectively within the organizational and financial structures of the local system of healthcare.

Practice-Based Learning & Quality Improvement: Ability to assess and continually improve the services delivered as an individual provider and as an inter-professional team.

Informatics: Ability to use information technology to support and improve integrated healthcare.

Safety Environment: Ability to identify, prevent and report unsafe situations and uses appropriate procedures to assure safety during emergency situations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Attends trainings as assigned and required.
  • Deliver educational program in a group format.
  • Provide case formulation related to client’s treatment readiness or developmental level and problem identification.
  • Uses supervision/consultation to learn and provide more effective treatment services.
  • Must attend supervision as assigned for program.
  • Maintain documentation in compliance with agency and program standards.
  • Participates in staff meetings, supervision, trainings and other meetings as assigned.
  • Additional duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Masters preferred.

Experience: Experience with content area: eg. Substance abuse, domestic violence. Experience with groups or education setting.

Training: Training in content area of group.

COMPENSATION:

$50/hour

  • Our per diem and fee for service positions offer a flat hourly rate
