4. Fertilizes plants and grass areas routinely as prescribed.
5. Waters all grass and plant areas as necessary.
6. Uses weed killer in overgrown areas surrounding grass areas.
7. Keeps the grass area surrounding the hospital identification sign on the side of the highway cut and neat in appearance (50' circumference).
8. Maintains and secures all equipment assigned for the performance of duties.
9. Assists with maintenance duties as assigned by Housekeeping Supervisor.
10. Maintains hospital equipment (cleans, oils, etc.).
11. Empties trash cans around the hospital grounds and North Shore Health Center.

General Definition of Heavy Cleaner- Responsible for cleanliness of assigned areas, care of assigned tools, equipment, and materials; economical use of all soaps, disinfectant solutions, waxes, and other janitorial supplies.
12. Buffs or polishes floors, as assigned.
13. Cleans and scrubs the bathroom, walls, floors, ceilings, and fixtures, around sinks, urinals, and toilet bowls, as assigned.

15. Cleans, dusts, and vacuums all air vents in the hospital.

24. Complies with all hospital and departmental policies and procedures, safety program requirements, corporate compliance program standards of conduct, all applicable statutes, rules, and regulations.
25. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
