As a Grocery Inventory Manager, you are responsible for the accurate inventory of all incoming and outgoing products and supplies. Maximize efficiency and incorporate best supply chain practices to minimize inventory loss. The ideal Grocery Inventory Manager will hold an associate degree in business or a related field and have 5+ years of experience in an inventory role.
· Plan and implement long term development strategies for product category.
· Research and analyze data and market insights.
· Search for insights into consumer needs and wants.
· Responsible for unfilled rate, slow moving products, new item development, import shipment quality control, turnover rate, promotion plan and sales achievement, and wastage.
· Accountable for the category overall performance of the organization
· Overall category inventory control. Meet all inventory and day-on-hand target.
· Source and procure groceries or perishables products from locally, via local distributors &/or suppliers.
· Proactively manage employees’ performance, take timely and appropriate progressive actions in recognizing or disciplining employees’ behaviors
· Cultivate good relationships with internal departments to support business operations and development.
· Perform any other duties as assigned by superior(s)
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements:
· Possess 3 years of experience in procurement in Grocery or Perishables products, prior experience in dealing with local and overseas grocery, dairy and frozen, produce, seafood and meat suppliers and distributors.
· Strong knowledge in grocery and perishables products; familiar with product specification, pricing, and other mandatory standards, legislation, and regulation requirements
· Have a track record in delivering and managing results, demonstrate strong ability to work on many tasks simultaneously, prioritize and complete requests in an efficient manner.
· Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to solve problems independently.
· Resourceful, keep abreast of market trends and information effectively.
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate/analyze data for business needs.
· Intermediate level in MS Words and PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
