Graphic Designer Job at Vanguard

Are you an ambitious, creative visual storyteller who loves technology? The IT Communications team is looking for an expert designer to elevate a variety of channels – ranging from internal articles, newsletters, SharePoint sites, Teams, leadership presentations, and external social and recruiting content. Animation experience is a plus! You’ll work with a small – and super fun – team of consultants, producers, and writers to deliver communications that elevate Vanguard’s tech story internally and externally. If variety is your thing, you’ll love it here. One day you might be designing a newsletter layout for 5,000 IT crew … another day you’ll be chatting with a technologist to create a visual element for an external blog. Vanguard is doing incredible things with technology, and we need your help to spread the word!

Please provide a design portfolio of your work, demonstrating your creativity and range of projects with your application.

Core Responsibilities

1. Collaborates with communications, marketing, and other crew to define, plan, and coordinate content, design, and presentation solutions. Uses creative tools to enhance Vanguard's communications and marketing capabilities.

2. Transforms draft materials and concepts into concise and meaningful visuals, media, and/or design solutions.

3. Maintains design standards and brand identity. Complies with Vanguard policies regarding electronic media.

4. May collaborate with external vendors on implementing artistic services or design solutions for Vanguard.

5. Collaborates with the business and leaders to ensure finalized products satisfy clients' needs and expectations. Provides recommendations as needed on design and creative solutions.

6. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Three years related work experience.

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graphic Design or other creative arts degree preferred.
