Government Business Specialist
Position Summary:
The Government Business Specialist achieves TireHub’s government/municipality sales goals ensuring profitable growth and compliance. This position assists Program Dealer Specialists and Customer Service Specialists with bid submission, ongoing government account compliance, reporting, and general support.

Role Specifics:
§ Leads government channel sales efforts in partnership with the Customer Service Specialist, Program Dealer Specialist, and other Sales Team Members.
Grows large government fleet and municipality business to exceed year-over-year and annual volume and profitability targets
§ Builds organizational knowledge of government contracting types that influence procurement entities to award business at SLED and FED levels
§ Develops and grows working relationships with Buying Cooperatives and State Agencies to drive business at State & Local Levels
§ Leads and collaborates with other TireHub sales and marketing resources to develop and submit winning proposals
§ Generates new government sales leads through analysis of data and from feedback collected from the field including multi-channel customer feedback
§ Collaborates with assigned Product Assortment Manager to assure optimization of inventory for government accounts
§ Manages activity with sales management tools while evaluating CRM solutions
§ Reports Government sales performance, compliance, and ongoing account management with various levels of TireHub leadership including legal department

Experience:
- 5+ years of total sales experience, such as field and B2B sales and establishing/sustaining key customer relationships
- At least 2+ years of sales experience in Tire Manufacturer Program Management / representation, preferred with large volume customers
- 2+ years’ experience with bidding government contracts
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Required to have a valid driver’s license and 3-5 years driving experience
Knowledge & Skills:
§ Expertise with tire manufacturer warranty, programs, and tire products
§ Familiarity with supply chain processes
§ Familiarity with customer relationship management tools (Dynamics / Sales Force)
§ Familiarity with enterprise resource planning systems (Prophet 21)
§ Familiarity with business intelligence tools (Power BI / Tableau / ClickSense)
§ Familiarity with government websites like: BatoGovTires.com
§ Understands how to locate, bid, and win government contracts
§ Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
§ Excellent communication skills; written, verbal and presentation
§ Ability to analyze data to identify trends and opportunities to grow market share
§ Hybrid role based in the Hub with travel up to 70% with frequent overnights
