STATUS: Part Time
(Hours available to work will be different shifts Mon-Sun, ranging from 7am-9pm).
Position Summary:
The Golf Shop and Cart Staff employees at Keith Hills Golf Club are expected to provide superior customer service, and contribute to a positive experience for, all guests who visit Keith Hills Golf Course and Pro Shop including members, Campbell students, faculty, staff, university officials and the outside public.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Pro Shop:
- Register guests for play
- Schedule tee times for groups
- Assist with members’ events, as well as outside outings
- Assist Director of Golf and Head Professional with member clinics
- Provide excellent customer service and assist with management of the Golf Shop
- Keep Golf Shop neat, clean and organized
- Check in, price, and properly display merchandise
- Manage inventory and keep golf shop supplies well stocked
- Place orders for customers as needed
- Make daily deposit and maintain money in register balanced
- Supervise on-duty golf car attendants
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
- Understand the overall operations of Keith Hills and its mission

- Uphold and abide by Campbell University policies and procedures, including, but not limited to; Title IX, and FERPA guidelines
Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Golf Cart Staff:
- Responsible for 90 Carts - cleaning, maintaining, restocking of carts throughout the day and storing/charging carts in cart shed
- Starter/Ranger Duties - managing tee sheet and keeping pace of play moving for a great golfing experience
- Manage Practice Facility - restocking range balls, picking 32 acre practice facility, maintaining tee box and target greens
- Provide top notch customer service at the bag drop - loading and cleaning clubs
- Restocking water coolers throughout the course
- Other duties and responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice
- Uphold and abide by Campbell University policies and procedures, including, but not limited to; Title IX, and FERPA guidelines
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid NC driver’s license required
- Customer service experience and knowledge of golf course and club house etiquette is desired
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Communicate effectively to all groups through both oral and written channels
- Display a positive attitude, self-motivation, and a good work ethic
- Demonstrate tact, courtesy and discretion in all interactions with visitors to Keith Hills Golf Course, including members, Campbell University students, faculty, staff, university officials, and the public
- Work independently as well as function effectively in a team and within a diverse group of people
- Exercise good judgment in complex and new situations
- Detail-oriented and willing to work in a changing environment
- This position requires honesty, integrity, accuracy and the ability to work within the Christian mission of Campbell University
