- Develop general maintenance and repair program throughout the facility.
- Provide assistance in carpentry, masonry, drywall, painting, welding, fabrication, maintenance and repair program.
- Supervise and complete general maintenance, construction and renovation projects for all the facilities.
- Respond to emergency calls and maintenance repair calls and assure work is promptly and properly performed.
- Determine requirement for general maintenance and repair supplies and equipment
- Prepare justification and requisitions for all supplies and equipment.
- Travel to different institutions as support to assist with projects and maintenance as needed.

State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma and trade experience directly related to the area of employment.
SCDC Minimum Requirements: (Or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the Division of State Human Resources)
A high school diploma.
Two (2) years experience in general maintenance and repair.
