General Laborer/Machine Operator Job at Graf Creamery Inc.
The General Laborer is responsible for general equipment operations and general assistance throughout the butter production's print and packaging department. The schedule is 9:00 a.m.-end of shift (approximately 5:00 p.m.). Monday-Friday.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Comply with all good manufacturing, safety, and quality assurance practices
- Verify quality control items, product weights, coding and packaging
- Maintain proper documentation in all formats
- Learn to operate various machines efficiently
- Assist with general cleaning and housekeeping throughout the plant
- Help other positions/departments as needed
- Must be able to lift, carry, push and stack 10-60 pounds, constantly throughout the day
- Change tape on Tape machines
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Attention to detail and good organizational skills
- Demonstrate an understanding of the products manufactured and processes involved
- willingness to communicate effectively in order to maintain high levels of safety, quality and efficiency
- Read and comprehend standard operating procedures
- Understand daily production needs
- Work with cleaning chemicals common to the food manufacturing industry
- Mechanical ability a plus
- Be able to stand 8-10 hours daily
Education / experience High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
