Gaming Technician Job at Light & Wonder

Under the supervision of the Supervisor or Manager, be able to complete installation on all Light & Wonder Equipment and accessories. Perform basic troubleshooting techniques resolving problems in most Light & Wonder equipment in our facility, or at the customers location. Demonstrate basic administrative skills.

Essential Job Functions:

· Delivering on company goals and objectives

· Ensure cosmetic appearances of all devices are up to Light & Wonder and our customer standards

· Ensure every game conforms to all company specifications

· Perform Preventative maintenance on VLT’s (Video Lottery Terminals), ETG’s (Electronic Table Games), and equipment, keeping in accordance with Gaming Commission and company standards

· Maintain inside and outside appearance of the games. Ensuring they are kept clean and are attractive to guests

· Verify and set all game options and parameters in accordance with customer and Light & Wonder specifications

· Ensure proper operations of the VLT’s, and ETG’s via diagnostic tests, software settings, and functional testing

· Where applicable, assemble and prepare accessories for installations per change order

· Install/Service Light & Wonder equipment in accordance with customer and company specifications

· Adhere to established workmanship standards, policies, and procedures of field service

· Maintain a neat and orderly work environment (customer site, office/workshop, etc.)

· Follow proper safety procedures (vehicle safety, loading games, ladder use, and electricity)

· Ensures all tools and equipment used by the employee are kept in proper, safe, and working condition

· Stay current with all Light & Wonder Field Advisories and eLearning

· Complete accurate Incident Reports in accordance with the Gaming Commission and company standards

· Complete required maintenance records in a clear and precise manner

· Complete detailed daily/weekly tech logs

· Communicate effectively through all forms of writing, i.e. reports , logs, email

· Seek out information to become proficient on new technology

· Navigate Management Terminal (MT) daily to verify VLT status

· Review customer issues with management, and technical lead as they arise

· Maintain a pleasant and helpful attitude around customers at all times

· Perform other duties as required

Qualifications:

· Must be at least 21 years of age

· Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license or state identification

· Ability to obtain and maintain gaming licenses as required

· Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. on a regular basis for short distances

· Transport heavy equipment using proper moving devices

· Demonstrate safe and proper use of hand tools and power tools

· Demonstrate basic knowledge of PC operation, and security risks relating to PC operation

· Demonstrate basic Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point)

· Ability to read and understand Light & Wonder schematics and service manuals

· With limited or no supervision be able to prepare conversion projects or installations

· Ability to maintain good customer relations, both internally and externally

· Basic knowledge of electricity, electronics, and mechanics of gaming type devices

· Basic knowledge of current Light & Wonder gaming devices to the assembly level

· Basic understanding of network communication, and network troubleshooting

· Ability to perform basic troubleshooting techniques in isolating and correcting problems down to an assembly level

· Ability to work with others to accomplish business objectives

· Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)

· Good customer service skills

· Good problem solving skills

· Travel requirements may include working at other facilities within our department

Education: High school diploma or equivalent. College level electronics training helpful.

Required Experience: One year experience in the assembly, testing, and repair of electronic gaming devices, or six months experience and related gaming school certificate of completion, or equivalent.
