Job Summary
Under limited supervision, the Fuel Sales Representative will be responsible for providing operational and analytical support to the Director of Wholesale Fuels. This person will be expected to be a creative problem solver, all while developing a commercial understanding of assigned customers and markets. Will further be responsible for working with and supporting the Director of Wholesale Fuels, meeting and exceeding the needs of current customers, finding new prospects and customers in new and established markets via following assigned leads, cold-calling and possibly limited travel. The Fuel Sales Representative will work closely with the Supply & Trading group to achieve both long and short-term team volume and profitability goals. Attention to detail is crucial for maximizing profitability for Atlas Oil Company. The ideal person will have the ability to successfully resolve customer issues and/or concerns creating Win/Win situations for Atlas Oil and our customers.
Required Degree / Certifications
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Management, Marketing or related fields
Primary Responsibilities and Scope
- Through regular communication, build rapport with customers to solicit market information to assist Director of Wholesale Marketing
- Responsible for supporting a book of existing business, and generating new business within the assigned territory
- Follows up on all leads solicited via cold call or provided by other members of the Atlas Team
- Provides daily documented report of activities in CRM system on all existing accounts and new business. Provides information to Team Leader on account activity during sales meetings, via email, or when otherwise requested
- Prepares all documents associated with new business activity to include credit applications and proposals
- Assists Team Leader to evaluate the profitability for commercial customers in an assigned territory and makes appropriate recommendations for changes or cancellations
- Facilitate new customer set ups (i.e. DTN/TABS; Atlas; Terminals; etc)
- Assist with daily rack pricing and communicate prices to customers
- Interface with other Atlas Oil Company groups to assure efficient and accurate processing of invoices
- Resolve customer issues and/or concerns in a Win/Win fashion
- Provide back-up support for Regional Sales Manager as required
- Ad-hoc analysis as assigned
Preferred Experience
- Experience in sales and/or customer service
- Experience within petroleum, energy or related industries
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Strong mathematical skills for pricing and competitive analysis
- Very strong interpersonal skills
- Team-First mentality and ability to collaborate well with others
