Freshwater Fishcare Receiver Job at Central Garden & Pet
Our Pet Segment is seeking a Fish Care Receiver to be a part of our Segrest Division out of Gibsonton, Florida. Your primary role will be to receive live tropical fish, as well as being trained to pick and pack freshwater fish to fulfill all sales orders presented by the sales department. MEASURES OF SUCCESS
- Cleaning /scrubbing the insides of fish tanks on three levels (using a catwalk).
- Syphoning Vats of water on the floor level.
- Unpack and put bags of fish in tanks.
- Tagging and labeling names on tanks.
- Pulling dead fish.
IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES
- Ability to bend at the waist.
- Ability to kneel often.
- Ability to scoop fish with a small net.
- Ability to climb and walk on 3 levels of catwalk to reach the tanks.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Work is performed in a warehouse environment.
- There may be some variation in work hours due to overtime, special projects, deadlines, and other concerns.
- Some weekend and evening hours may be required due to deadlines.
- Ability to work with the following ingredients and mixtures:
- Methylene Blue
- Nitrofurazone
- Furazone
- Fish Calmer
