SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
Weekend Shift: 7am-7:30pm (F-Su)
Success as a Finishing team member at Protomet comes down to efficiency, safety, and attitude. Developing people to have the technical skill to get the job done, the care to do it safely, and the energy to learn all aspects of our business is our goal.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Responsible for operating machines and handling materials
• Racking parts properly for powder coating department
• Blow off and mask parts prior to powder coating
• Visually inspect parts and load into bins after powder coasting in complete
• Pre-sanding and repairing minor surface blemishes
• Operate the powder gun application and proper powder booth operation

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Able to drive/obtain a fork truck license.
• Ability to be trained to operate lift truck.
• Air/battery impacts.
• Multimeter for electrical troubleshooting.
• Adhere to safety regulations of the company and department.
• Identify/maintain control of non-conforming material as demonstrated.
• Use a computer to input quality, productivity and inventory control data.
• Maintain a clean work area while operating.
• Evaluate material inventory.
• Maintain 5S / Lean Practices.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Able to stand/walk/stoop/bend for up to 8-12 hours per day as required
• Must be able to use shop-oriented mathematics
• Must be able to work overtime

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
