We are aiming to build a team that will function as an in-house consulting group for upper management. Your work will be project-based, centered on the finance and accounting departments. You will gain an in-depth understanding of OneStream’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Essential job functions include the following: driving new additions to the tool’s functionality. Providing consultants who expand the tool’s functionality with instructions for the design, ensuring they are remaining on track, and validating their work. Serving as a liaison between consultants and the users. OneStream is the fastest growing and most highly rated ERP on the market right now. Thus, making the skills you gain in this role invaluable to our organization and the finance world at large.

Responsibilities include producing accurate, timely, and comprehensive reports and analyses to drive strategic decision-making which helps the finance and operations teams maximize revenue and profits. This role will typically be tasked with compiling data from all acquisitions, developing and communicating business insights, and efficiently balancing multiple deadlines on assigned projects.

Financial Systems Analyst Key Tasks:

  • Leverage VBA skills to write business rules as new functionality is needed
  • Design data source ETLs as new companies are acquired
  • Learn the current OneStream platform functionality and become the expert that the accounting team leverages
  • Create sample outputs of data and calculations that consultants can leverage to validate their results
  • Assist with the rollout of the account reconciliation and other marketplace solutions
  • Clean data from several separate companies’ data sources to compile into a single source, automate the cleaning and compiling process, and create data visualizations that generate meaningful actionable insights for the business
  • Work directly with finance teams across the organization to determine data-driven solutions to business needs and streamline current business processes
  • Produce multiple reports and dashboards on a weekly and monthly basis for use by Senior Leadership team
  • Analyze and compile insights from these reports to summarize drivers of KPI and overall performance for leadership
  • Create ad hoc analysis as needed

Basic Requirements:

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering.
  • 1+ years of MS Excel (pivots, lookups, get and transform data functions) and a minimum of intermediate PowerPoint skills
  • 6+ months of VBA coding experience (or another coding language)
  • 6+ months of SQL coding experience (cross-joins, CTEs, nested joins, window functions, views, data type transformations, etc.) or enroll in a course upon onboarding
  • Ability to travel 5% of the year

Preferred:

  • Experience with DAX
  • Experience working with financial consolidation tools: OneStream, Hyperion Essbase, etc.
  • 6+ months of VBA.net experience
  • Experience with data visualization tool: Power BI or Tableau (thorough understanding of level-of-detail calculations)
  • Background with Oracle databases
  • Experience using Python or R for analytics, data science, data cleansing, and automation
  • Ability to create professional reports and presentations
  • An aptitude and willingness to learn new skills and grow current skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to understand and analyze data and provide insightful reporting and recommendations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills (verbal and written) with all levels of employees and management
  • Organizational skills and the ability to handle multi-tasking and work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Ability to prioritize and focus on outcomes that drive action plans, deliver business value, and enhance revenue
  • Highly motivated, takes initiative, and self-driven

Pay: $89,000.00 - $93,000.00 per year
