Financial Analyst Job at Starr Companies
Responsibilities:
- Assist and support team of Financial Analysts
- Assist in design, development, and production of reports: P&L, Expenses, Losses, Premium/Commission/Earnings, Budget/Forecast, T&E, Expense accounting, and Ad-Hoc reporting
- Support multiple profit centers financial reporting of the following: Production, Budgeting, Forecasting, Quarter-Close, and Expense Analysis
- Communicate financial results in a clear and concise manner to Assistant Controller & Profit Center Management
- Analyze and challenge gross & ceded reinsurance financials for accuracy
- Monitor and assist in Concur T&E processing
- Analyze GOE and Headcount
- Work with cross-functional departments Underwriting/Claims/Reinsurance/IT/HR/etc. to drive issue resolution
Requirements:
- College graduate degree in Finance/Accounting with at least 3-5 years’ of experience
- Experience working in insurance finance/accounting
- Experience with general ledger accounting
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong budgeting, forecasting, and accounting skills
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills
- Strong excel/access skills
- Dynamic personality with strong multi-task skills
