Responsibilities:
The Field Services Technician (FST) is responsible for maintenance, repair, and upgrade of SemaConnect’s deployed network of electric vehicle charging stations. This position supports our clients remotely and when required, onsite. The FST will have exceptional problem solving skills, good communication skills, and create a world class customer service experience. With a strong understanding of electrical design and schematics, the ideal candidate will have experience in commercial electrical contracting or product maintenance services. This is a great position for a high energy, customer focused individual to get in at an early stage of a new industry with a company who is already a national leader, with both an exciting clean-tech product and marquee commercial customer base.

Responsibilities
  • Travel to client sites to troubleshoot, diagnose, and determine next steps for repair of our EV Charging Stations
  • Ability to demonstrate the equipment, educate the client, and make recommendations
  • Ensure maintenance performance targets are met and customer satisfaction is achieved
  • Respond quickly and appropriately to customer tickets
  • Ensure all appointments are met and held in a professional manner and repairs are completed
  • Create reports for all clients serviced in the day
  • Follow company policies and procedures to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and ensure proper escalations where needed
  • Communicate frequently with management to ensure coordination and prioritization of assignments
  • Maintain, repair, and update SemaConnect’s EV charging units in our offices and at the client site
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to troubleshoot using expert problem solving skills
  • Great communication skills to work with customers
  • Ability to diagnose problems with equipment
  • Great mechanical aptitude
  • Basic electrical knowledge
  • Previous experience working with Printed circuit boards
  • Familiar with Windows including Word, Excel, browsers and possesses a basic working knowledge of computers.
  • Ability to test and debug electronic circuits involving digital and analog components. Familiarity with tools like JTAG ICE is an advantage
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be available to travel nationally up to 50%
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand on your feet up to 8 hours a day
