Family Partnerships Specialist Job at Fairfax County Public Schools
Description
Performs the full range of professional duties required to support all projects related to the development and implementation of the Family and School Partnerships program; monitors program initiatives for legislative and regulation compliance; provides specialized training for families and professional development for staff; and facilitates program outreach collaboration.
Qualifications
Required
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in education, human services, counseling, or social work.
- Five (5) years of progressively more responsible work experience in teaching, education, and/or project management.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of leadership development, customer service management, and family and community engagement.
- Knowledge of the FCPS organization, mission, rules, and regulations.
- Knowledge of national, regional, and local issues related to curriculum and instruction.
- Ability to structure programs related to needs.
- Excellent human relations skills and ability to maintain successful cooperative working relationships with school communities, and school-based and central office staffs. Ability to work independently and with teams.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Preferred
- Administrative or supervisory experience.
- Professional educational license with endorsements appropriate to assignment.
