Facilities Operator Job at Per Se Group
Summary
Per Se Group has an immediate need for a skilled Instrumentation / Electrical Technician for a Natural Gas storage company in Northern California. Reporting to the Superintendent US Operations, and as part of the Gas Storage team, the successful candidate will ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the Gas Storage plant and field facilities. This position requires a self-motivated, hands-on individual with strong team skills.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair process problems and identify opportunities for improvement.
Monitor and control plant and field processing conditions utilizing SCADA control systems.
Monitor and optimize gas well and pipeline operations.
Perform minor maintenance and coordinate other maintenance activities.
Understand and perform safety, environmental and regulatory responsibilities such as hazard identification, equipment lockout, emergency response, implement safe work procedures, etc.
Ensure effective communication with operations, maintenance, and leadership staff.
Maintain documentation such as operator logs, maintenance records, safety & environment reports.
Maintain superior housekeeping standards throughout the plant process and control room areas.
Ongoing development including job progression, site-specific training, process training, etc.
Preferred Skills and Expertise
5 years gas processing experience or equivalent.
Operational and maintenance experience in gas compression, dehydration, pipelines and gas well equipment as well as a basic understanding of well performance and reservoir behavior would be an asset.
Team player with strong problem solving, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
Ability and confidence to work with minimal supervision.
Self motivated with a strong work ethic and demonstrated ability to learn and take on a variety of operational challenges.
Experience with commissioning and startup of new equipment a plus.
Proficiency in the use of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
