Summary:
Under the direction of the Director of Facilities, performs various courier and facilities related duties in conformance with established Credit Union policies and procedures.
Essential Functions:
- Perform light maintenance of SMCU buildings to include but not limited to painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and light rug/floor cleaning.
- Serves as liaison of relationship between SMCU and building management company for facilities matters.
- Track and manage inventory of building supplies, including but not limited to janitorial and kitchen items.
- Provide courier transportation to pick up and drop off mail daily at the post office along with transporting interoffice mail to and from SMCU branches.
- Responsible for handling incoming and outgoing mail for the credit union. This includes sorting incoming mail and placing postage on outgoing mail, among other duties.
Other Functions
- Performs related administrative and/or technical duties, as may be assigned or requested.

Education and/or Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent. Three to five years of experience in the operation of a commercial or institutional facility is required to include carpentry, electrical, plumbing and rug/floor cleaning. Proven organizational, written, and communication skills, as well as attention to detail are required. A valid Massachusetts driver’s license, a strong driving record and proof of insurance is required. Ability to utilize various types of office equipment, including computer terminal, and proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software required.

Work Environment:
Usual office working conditions with absence of most disagreeable conditions and with occasional exposure to noise.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this position, the individual is required to perform physical labor including but not limited to the handling and reaching for of objects, use of light tools or controls; and to talk and hear. The position required frequent periods of standing and walking. The individual is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or lift up to fifty pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
