Overview
Assist in the development and implementation of clinical wellness programming for the Wellness and Fitness Centers. The Senior Exercise Specialist will instruct clinical wellness exercise classes designed for special populations, as well as provide fitness assessments to the community. In addition to all the responsibilities of an exercise specialist, the senior exercise specialist will coordinate and implement marketing of services, organize, and enhance staff education and training opportunities, act as a clinical resource to staff, and assist coordinator/manager/director in facilitating the smooth operation of the department.

What you will do
- Exercise classes designed for special populations, as well as provide fitness assessments to the community.
Provide testing to include body composition testing, strength testing, flexibility testing, and exercise prescription.
Develop positive relationships with patients of Riverside Health System and the community. In addition to all the responsibilities of an exercise specialist
Enhance staff education and training opportunities, act as a clinical resource to staff, and assist coordinator/manager/director in facilitating the smooth operation of the department.
Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or GED, (Required)
Associates Degree, Exercise Science or a closely related field (Required)
Bachelors Degree, Exercise Science or a closely related field (Preferred)
Experience
- 3-4 years Fitness, Wellness or Recreation (Preferred)
Licenses and Certifications
- Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) - National Academy of Sports Medicine (Preferred)
- Heart Saver AED (Preferred)
Certified Exercise Specialist (Preferred)
