At our client's independent living community the Executive Director is responsible for the operation of the entire facility. Our client's experienced, stable and dedicated department level leadership team is ready to embrace their next leader.

The Executive Director:

• Has a passion for industry leading culinary arts programs
• Is creative with entertainment programming appropriate for the senior population
• Ensures an atmosphere which allows for the privacy, dignity and well-being of all residents in a safe, secure environment
• Safety, including universal precautions and safe work practices, established fire/safety/disaster plans, risk management, and security, report and/or correct unsafe working conditions, equipment repair and maintenance needs
• Holds confidentiality of all data including resident, employee and operations data
• Uses tactful, appropriate communications in sensitive and emotional situations
• Follows up as appropriate with supervisor, co-workers or residents regarding reported complaints, problems and concerns
• Oversees and manages individual departments to develop an overview of the facility and its operating condition.
• Ensures occupancy levels are at or exceed budgeted targets
• Implements company personnel policies and procedures with Human Resources to ensure federal, state and local compliance.
• Ensures that established budget guidelines are maintained through development, implementation and monitoring of expenses.
• Responsible for staff performance, recruitment, retention and development.
• Ensures proper maintenance of building and grounds through supervision and preventative maintenance programs.
• Ensures that all policies and procedures are adhered to in accordance with federal, state and local guidelines.
• Solicit, review, intervene, and report complaints and grievances made by residents, families, visitors, agencies, etc.
• Establish and encourage an atmosphere of optimism, warmth and interest in residents’ personal and healthcare needs.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

EXPERIENCE

• 2+ years of experience as an Executive Director of an Independent Senior Living Community Preferred.

OR

• 2+ years as a General Manager of a full service resort or apartment complex with a robust recreational activities department and creative culinary offerings

Pay: Up to $80,000.00 per year
