Job Duties & Responsibilities

· Ability to Grade in-between buildings and sidewalks with hand shovels

· Use of shovels and rakes for trenching, grading and fine-tuning earth work

· Cleans and prepares job sites including removal of debris, garbage, and excess water accumulation

· Operates a variety of hand tools and machines, including water spraying hoses and shovels

· Assist in digging manholes, grading, and guiding equipment operators using universal hand signaling

· Assist pipe layers during pipe installation projects

· Assist with handling and transporting construction materials

· Set up warning devices and barricades as needed

· Direct traffic safely around the site

· Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor task items

· Good safety awareness and willing to engage with and contribute to ongoing safe work practices including strong knowledge of excavation, trenching and shoring safety standards

· Ensure proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn at all times while onsite

· Daily cleanup of work sites

· Clean, inspect and properly maintain tools

· Attend all required safety trainings and meetings

Job Requirements

· A minimum of 1-year excavation experience required

· Ability to lift and carry material and/or equipment weighing up to 100lbs, including but not limited to generators, jumping jacks, water hoses, etc.

· Ability to dig/shovel various soils while performing daily tasks

· Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time in ranging weather conditions

· Requires continuous bending, heavy lifting and walking on uneven ground

· Flexibility to work overtime when needed and/or required

· Must have basic computer skills, including the ability to correspond via email and text

· Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license

· Ability to pass required drug test and background check screening

· Must have a working cell phone

Work Schedule

· Approximately 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime & infrequent weekends

· General Start Time: 7:00 AM, Monday thru Friday

· Consistent and reliable year-round work

Compensation & Benefits

· $23.00 - $25.00 per Hour DOE

· Full-Time & Part-Time positions available
