Job Objective

This role incorporates experiential marketing planning, business, and event execution. The successful candidate will use business acumen and audience understanding to balance the needs of clients, brand partners, and Watches of Switzerland in the creation of these world-class, breakthrough event experiences - both digital and in-person.


The Watches of Switzerland Event Manager position has a high level of visibility, and will need to be a strong manager, excellent collaborator, and be able to communicate clearly with a focus on event ROI.


Responsibilities

  • Foster ongoing brand partnerships to align on intended business impact, event strategy, audience targets and success metrics. This includes the development of a written event brief for each event delivery and recap reporting.
  • Oversee planning, production, and execution of events in collaboration with marketing, brand partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Expertly set agendas and maintain yearly events calendar.
  • Lead cross company workstreams to create and execute event deliveries; includes being able to identify and mitigate issues/barriers to success for teams.
  • Establish, lead, communicate and maintain planning roadmap, timelines, and priorities on experiences specific to the event and business objectives.
  • Build and distribute regular production status reviews for organizational meetings.
  • Share best practices for stakeholder and attendee input in line with the Watches of Switzerland marketing and event guidelines.
  • Cross-Group collaboration – excel at driving virtual teams (corporate, field and agency), collaborating across a broad set of stakeholders in a manner that holds individuals accountable and includes them in the journey.

Experience

  • 5-8 years in experiential event marketing, digital and in-person event creation and execution, including understanding of key drivers of successful event execution.
  • Experience with Splash, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office, Social accounts Instagram and Facebook.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Experience with budgeting preparation and management, proposal creation, contract preparation and negotiation, site inspections and program planning.
  • Experience planning all components of sales meetings, exhibitions, town halls, pop up programming, brand events, VIP dinners, retail programs and virtual launches.
  • Expert attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills
  • Strong project management skills and strengths in overseeing multiple projects/deadlines; ability to set priorities and be flexible in changing environments; goal orientation with a strong focus towards action and tangible results.
  • Collaborate across teams and organizations to drive an aligned vision and common goal.
  • Excellent communicator: ability to translate concepts and ideas to multiple audience levels.
  • Ability to confidently present to and interact with executives and senior management across the company.
  • Experience with streamlining processes to ensure operational excellence, innovative ideation, productivity, and effectiveness across the organization.
