Event Worker Job at St. Tammany Parish Recreation District #4
The job of Event Worker is ideal for someone retired or looking for some extra income. This position will be paid to open the gym after office hours as requested. Generally the gym would need to be open 2-3 days a week from 5pm to about 8pm. The position is required to stay at the facility as designated, keep and eye on the situation, and help where needed. You would also make sure everyting is clean and put away after the event. We are currently in basketball season so most of the events during the week are basketball practice and basketball games. The number of hours will vary from week-to-week but will generally include 4-10 hours per week. A candidate located in or near Lacombe, La would be ideal as some of the shifts are short and a long drive is not preferred for a quick opening of the gym. There may be opportunities for extra hours during after-hours events on weekends, as you would serve as a backup/second private event worker. There may also be extra hours in helping maintenance/janitor on an as needed basis.
