What you’ll be doing:

Create diagrams and cost estimates on customer and prospect properties in compliance with cost estimating procedures. Prepare diagram and cost estimate reports and communicate results to the requesting party. Determine proper replacement cost for customer and prospect properties.

***This is a hybrid position that requires two days per week in the office and can be based in either our Downtown Milwaukee/Madison/Merrill Wisconsin, Greenwood Village, Colorado or Mechanicsburg, PA location. ***

On any given day, you’ll:

• Create diagrams and cost estimates on customer and prospect properties in compliance with cost estimating procedures.
• Communicate results of diagrams and costs estimates to the requesting party: Sales, Underwriting, and/or Risk Control.
• Determine proper replacement cost for customer and prospect properties using approved methods.

Here’s what we expect:

• Two-year degree in construction, architectural technology, or a related field, and/or prior related experience in a property insurance-related field or construction management is required.
• Ability to understand basic construction principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to make decisions.
• Ability to negotiate and resolve estimating disputes.
• Ability to learn and apply computer-based drawing skills.
• Ability to learn and apply training for cost estimating.
