Entry Level CNC Machinist
Seeking an Entry Level CNC Machinist for the production of Compaction Tooling utilized in the Ceramic Industry.
- Will closely work with a Precision Tool & Die Maker in the creation of quality tooling and fixtures.
- Job duties to include; machine set ups; machine and bench operations necessary to make, alter, or repair tooling; (i. e., compaction tools, jigs, fixtures, dies, or gauges).
- Operates Manual and CNC lathes and mills, grinders, Wire EDM and Heat Treating Furnaces. (Training to be provided)
- Reads and understands engineered drawings, hand finishes and fits tooling to close tolerances (. 0002 range) for the creation of new tooling.
- Programs CNC machines at machine or with use of CAD Software.
- Utilizes all types of handheld measurement devices such as micrometers and calipers as well as optical comparator.
- Assists and/or performs in any and all areas as assigned.
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulation.
- Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; participates in calling for repairs.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Technical School or Completion of a State Certified Journeyman’s Machinist or Tool and Die Maker Program a plus but not required.
Experience:
- Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Need to have knowledge of CAD/CAM software. Experience with Edge Cam a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of HAAS CNC Equipment a plus but not required.
