POSITION SUMMARY

Hess has an opportunity for an Engineering Tech-Wells & Pads for our Tioga, ND office.


ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support development of and maintain dashboards for key metrics including RO Daily Planning, Lean 102, Regulatory Compliance, Area & Asset Boardwalks, etc.
    • Build and maintain dashboards in Spotfire
    • Help Areas track “can do, should do, will do, did”
  • Drive alignment across the Areas in relation to lost production event tracking, troubleshooting and associated improvements
    • Support Production Reporting QC activities and audits (consistent ODR coding, etc.)
  • Investigate database quality and perform quality checks (QC) on information and escalate discrepancies to appropriate person(s)
  • Maintain content ownership of W&P’s and Area’s MS Teams channels regarding SWIs, AMs, etc.
  • Provide administrative support for Area Safety Committees
  • Provide support for engineering projects by gathering data from ODS, EBS, SAP, PI, Wellview, etc. to support business decisions, drive reliability and enable optimization efforts
  • Provide ad hoc data requests to support day-to-day operations
  • Support development and testing of new and existing EBS signals and triggers
  • Support data entry needs from field activity
  • Act as liaison between operations and database / Spotfire teams for dashboard development and improvements
  • Maintains and updates weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting
  • Provide administrative support for SQDC Dashboard maintenance
  • Assist in assurance documentation & reporting (AM’s, model wellsite checks, competency)
  • Support well testing and production allocation tracking and optimization


QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

  • 2+ years of energy / oilfield experience
  • Familiar with Spotfire visualization tools and ability to support business needs with appropriate visuals, plots, charts, etc.
  • Working knowledge of database structures (i.e. ODR, SAP, Wellview, XSPOC, etc.)
  • Competent with MS Office programs, especially MS Excel
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in teams
  • Good time mgt. and following routine work schedules
  • Ambitious, organized, and self-motivated
  • Ability to develop skills in data analytics projects including coding, data wrangling and aggregation


Education, Training & Certifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ year technical degree preferred
