Electrical Technician / Van Conversion Electrician

About Us: Limitless Van is a fast-growing adventure van conversion company located outside of the Vancouver, Washington metro area in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge. General Job Description: Limitless Van is looking to hire a talented and motivated electrical technician to work on off-grid adventure vans. This position is responsible for the wiring and installation of all electrical components for van conversions, including interior/exterior lighting, wiring harnesses, batteries, alternators, solar panels, and charge controllers. Additionally, the electrical technician should excel at diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical problems.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Assemble and install state-of-the-art lithium battery systems and components

• Install audio systems, remote starts, aftermarket lights, and other third-party components

• Diagnose and repair electrical systems and components

• Prewire van chassis

• Build wiring harnesses

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment

• Follow safety guidelines, general procedures, and policies

• Test systems and ensure quality control

• Read and understand production documentation: drawings, installation instructions, etc.

• Safely operate hand tools and power tools

Expectations:

• Work Monday - Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm at our shop in North Bonneville, WA

• Willingness to work overtime when requested

• Ability to learn quickly and with enthusiasm

• Ability to work as a team or as an individual

• Warranty and re-work is minimized or eliminated as the work is done right the first time

• Work is completed on time and at a very high quality standard

• Punctual and self-motivated

• Have a fun, kind, and positive attitude

• Follow the daily work plan and priorities and contribute to improving processes

• Keep shop clean and tools organized

Qualifications/Required Skills:

• Understanding of electric theory and conversions

• Experience with 12V & 24V electrical systems (48V experience is a plus)

• Competent with AC and DC systems

• Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical issues

• Experience installing after-market lights and switches

• Experience installing converters
• Outstanding motivation and drive to complete projects on time
• Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills

• Experience safely operating hand tools and power tools

• Experience working in the van, RV, automotive, aviation, or marine industry preferred
• Ability to lift heavy items in excess of 50 pounds
• High-School Diploma or GED

Compensation & Benefits:

• Starting salary is based on experience. We value the experience you bring.

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
