OTIE an immediate opening for a Lead Electrical Engineer in Wisconsin (Green Bay, Madison or Milwaukee). Applicants must have a BS in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or similar accredited engineering degree, 10+ years of electrical design experience, and be a registered Professional Engineers (P.E.).
Job Description: OTIE has an excellent full-service staff of design and construction engineers, and a reputation for providing outstanding services to our clients. We are seeking a highly motivated professional to lead our electrical engineering team. This position offers an opportunity for promotions and upward mobility within an established and progressive firm that has a 25+ year track record of providing outstanding engineering services for federal, state, county, municipal and private clients.
Job Requirements are as follows:
- Assigning proposal activities and work to electrical staff and coordinating personnel.
- Assumes responsibilities of ensuring technical accuracy and constructability of finished designs.
- Mentor junior engineering staff and coordinate training for personnel and help grow department resources.
- Will be involved in interviewing and hiring based on departmental needs.
- Responsible for departmental budget.
- Provide direction for all departmental staff development and promote growth of individuals.
- Responsible for safety training for staff in field and familiar with OSHA, NFPA 70E, and applicable ANSI standards for equipment and PPE care.
- Attend meetings and design charrettes, when required, during the design process.
- Be active in pursuing potential project leads and assembling proposals.
- Have advanced knowledge in the areas of medium and low power distribution, lighting design, fire alarm/mass notification, and telecommunication systems.
- Be familiar with design requirements for grounding, bonding, lighting protection and control systems.
- Have advanced experience in application of the NEC and familiar with codes such as the, UFC, ASHRAE, IECC, NFPA and federal/military guidelines along with industry standards (IEEE, UL, NEMA).
- Have a working knowledge of standard industry software such as the Autodesk suites, SKM Power Tools, AGI lighting software.
- Be proficient in general industry software programs such as the Microsoft Office suite.
- Work cooperatively with other discipline engineers, project managers, technicians and clients.
