Position Summary:
JDN Early Childhood Center is seeking flexible and energetic substitute child care teachers.
Substitute teachers are responsible for the active supervision of children; maintain positive interaction with children, families and co-workers; keep center and classroom in a clean and orderly manner; follow rules for required documentation and perform all other required tasks. Individuals must be highly energetic, mature, nurturing, personable and team-oriented. Demonstrate a high degree of responsibility. Project a professional presence at all times. Exhibit excellent customer service skills and be welcoming with parents.
Hours needed:
- 3:30-6:00 p.m. Monday - Friday and as needed between 7:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required
- ECE or CDA preferred or working toward a degree in Early Childhood or related field
- Prior experience working with children (preferred)
- Ability to carry out age-appropriate activities for children (infant, toddler, and preschool)
- Ability to communicate professionally with parents and staff

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

- Shaker Heights, OH: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- Experience with children: 1 year (Required)
- Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
