What You’ll Do:

Driver Success Specialists are the embodiment of our core brand promises and directly represented by one, our 24/7 support. You will be there to make drivers successful any time of day (on your shift). You will help drivers through their day by supporting them, problem solving, coaching, and training – whatever they need to be successful and satisfied with Variant. A successful Driver Success Specialist will be flexible and ready to adapt to the ever-changing needs of the industry and challenge of the day.

  • Answering incoming phone calls, live chats, and emails to assist drivers with delays, service issues, trailers, payroll, and whatever else they might need.
  • Utilizing your best critical thinking skills to solve out of the box problems for drivers
  • Coach and manage drivers who might need some help understanding Variant guidelines, DOT regulations, all other federally or locally mandated rules/laws/guidelines.
  • Keep drivers rolling safely by ensuring accurate PTAs, providing trailer solutions, planning BPMs and required appointments, helping keep CDL’s in order, managing hometime guidelines, and anything else to keep them earning.
  • Partner with drivers to support on time service and communicate service deviations to Customer Experience in a timely manner.
  • Be a part of a fun, passionate team that supports each other and has fun working together

Supervisory Responsibility: Support 1000+ drivers with a team

What We’re Looking For:

Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent

Experience

  • 2 + years of experience in driver or customer facing role
  • Experience in the trucking industry a bonus

Skills/Certifications

  • A true passion for helping drivers
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills including de-escalation and persuasion techniques
  • Proficient typing and computer navigation skills
  • Creative thinking and problem solving
  • You are self-motivated, self-starting, and self-assured
  • Multitasker with a high sense of urgency
