- Establish efficient routes for completing pick-up and drop-off of patients
- Operates vehicles in a safe manner in compliance with DOT Regulations
- Calmly and effectively manage unforeseen circumstances, such as medical emergencies
- Conducts vehicle emergency repairs; able to change tires and handle minor on-road maintenance
- Coordinates vehicle maintenance repairs
- Establishes and monitors daily and weekly trip inspection & preventative maintenance programs and maintains records regarding the maintenance of all vehicles
- Maintains cellular contact with office to respond to necessary route updates when appropriate
- Assists in activities and special programs as needed
- Greets and interacts with patients in a friendly and respectful manner
- Upholds policies regarding passenger behavior
- Other duties as assigned
- Travel to other locations as requested
