Carolyn's K9 Retreat is in search of hard-working and reliable puppy lovers to join our team! Part-time and full-time positions are available for applicants 18+ with reliable transportation and a love of dogs!

We run a home-based cage-free and communal facility. Meaning that all of our guests run, play and have fun in a group setting during their stay. Our staff is NOT tasked with cleaning dozens of kennels a day while sad dogs look at them hoping for some more attention. But instead, our dogs are the center of attention 24/7!!

Our 3-acre property in the woods, just outside of West Olympia, is entirely dedicated to the dogs. We have 5 separate outside play areas, including 3400 sq ft of Puppy Astro Turf and 800 sq ft of covered outside play space to keep staff clean and dry in the winter months. Our 1,400 sq ft home is puppy proofed and fully dedicated to the dogs as well.

In short, Carolyn's K9 Retreat is not like any other doggy daycare or kennel, for we are not a kennel so much as as Dog Boarding Resort.

Position Available:

Doggy Daycare Attendant

Our Doggy Daycare team spends the majority of the day with the dogs. A normal day at Carolyn's K9 Retreat could see anywhere from 15 - 30 dogs with us during the day. As a Doggy Daycare Attendant, you would be responsible for:

> Supervising groups of dogs playing and interacting.
> Maintaining a calm and safe play environment.
> Managing small conflicts and de-escalating tension to avoid larger issues.
> Prompt and professional communication with customers, providing updates and important information about their dog while in our care.
> Feeding groups of dogs while ensuring proper safety and separation policies are followed.
> Scheduled cleaning tasks, as well as prompt "spot" cleaning as need, to maintain and clean and healthy environment for all at The Retreat.

Opportunities Available:

Carolyn's K9 Retreat was founded in 2019 after Carolyn and Bryson Wright moved to Olympia. We were simply looking for a little extra income on the side and a chance to get paid to hang our with some dogs. We never imagined that it would become the business that it is today, and we are blessed to be spending our days with all the best dogs of Olympia!
