JOB DESCRIPTION
At NorthBay Health the Director of Primary Care, Urgent Care Center and Center for Women’s Health is responsible for the operational and strategic oversight of the Vacaville Primary Care Practice, including behavioral health, psychology and urgent care center within the NorthBay Medical Group. This encompasses strategies, programs, processes and procedures, including measures of success, which are aligned with the organization’s strategic direction and result in continual growth and development of their centers. The responsibilities include operational oversight, financial performance, clinical quality, service delivery, community outreach, and accreditation and licensure as applicable. This is a highly visible position that has administrative authority to work with entities across NorthBay Healthcare in order meet established accountabilities.
This individual works collaboratively with the AVP, CWH Practice Manager, Medical Directors and providers, staff and management team in planning and delivery an optimal level of care for patients. S/he supervises, coaches and mentors personnel. S/he ensures cost effective patient outcomes through the supervision of clinical/professional staff, collaboration with medical staff, nursing and support staff.
This Director ensures compliance with state/federal and other regulatory and accreditation body guidelines and requirements. This individual must be fiscally savvy, willing to assume new responsibilities as requested, accept accountability and operate effectively under pressure. Confidence, integrity, skilled communication and positivity are also essential.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Master’s degree in business or related field.
2. Five to seven years of related experience in Primary Care or area of responsibility.
3. Three to five years of demonstrated progressive management experience with increasing scope of responsibility.
4. Demonstrated initiative, follow through and ability to work independently.
5. Demonstrated results oriented management style
6. Excellent interpersonal, judgment and problem solving skills
7. Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
8. Must be able to deal with job-related stress.
9. Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
10. Basic computer skills.
