Primary tasks, duties and responsibilities:

  • Promotes and practices the mission, values, policies and procedures of Tidewell Hospice.
  • Accountable for hiring, supervising, performance coaching, disciplinary actions, and completion of performance reviews for data entry staff.
  • Designs a reporting system using Raiser’s Edge software to define and analyze the success of the Philanthropy Department process on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end basis; defines and executes queries.
  • Manages discussions and decisions made regarding records, reports and analysis using Raiser’s Edge.
  • Perform data analysis related to all aspects of annual giving, uses statistics to evaluate current programs and to make recommendations for program changes.
  • Perform prospects research via a subscription wealth database; provides information for analysis.
  • Provides data, statistics and background material necessary for internal/external reports, proposals and budgets.
  • Ensures donor acknowledgements are sent in a timely, accurate and consistent manor.
  • Coordinates a ledger of activity for all campaigns.
  • Follow up with donor and volunteers request for assistance and information, assures adherence to performance standards with an approach to donor relations that considers respect, accuracy, timeliness. Maintains all information in a confidential, ethical and professional manner.
  • Oversees and manages data input and system purging to assure donor records and information are accurate and up to date.
  • Act as the key contact that oversees donor recognition and acknowledgement.
  • Provides support by managing confidential lists; assists with meeting preparation; assists with research and submission and grant applications; proofs all written materials.
  • Compiles relevant information for personal major gift solicitations and grant submissions through research of individuals and foundations.
  • Manages the administrative tasks of the Remembrance Walkways Program.
  • Assists Philanthropy Department in working closely with the Marketing and Communications Departments to ensure continuity in communications, activities and community events.

Educational/Professional:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • At least (5) years’ experience in a nonprofit fundraising, marketing, or sales environment.
  • Raiser’s Edge experience very strongly preferred; fundraising database or CRM system required.
  • An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered as meeting the Education/Professional requirements.
