ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR MANUFACTURING (RADIOPHARMACEUTICALS)
Our client is one of the world's largest providers of isotope technology and a specialist in the field of molecular imaging and nuclear medicine supplying different radiopharmaceuticals, radiochemicals and related equipment for the synthesis and quality control of PET/SPECT tracers and other radioisotopes.
JOB SUMMARY:
This position oversees the daily production, storage and dispensing of radioactive products along with site management responsibilities.
Performs and oversees data verification related to radioactive product and drug dispensing and manufacturing. by alpha, beta and gamma counting. Performs technical reviews of customer quotes and customer specific requirements. Manages nuclide inventory, nuclide inventory database and radioactive waste. Experience with GMP drug production is highly preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Manage daily activities of production personnel
- Ensure radioactive products and drugs are manufactured and dispensed properly
- Troubleshoot problematic orders
- Ensure necessary validations and testing of the GMP manufacturing process and dispensing processes are carried out properly
- Perform and oversees data verification by alpha, beta and gamma counting
- Perform technical review of customer quotes and customer sales orders
- Order radioactive material and maintain nuclide inventory
- Research and development
- Responsible for forecasting and meeting department budget
- Attend relevant technical meetings and conferences
- Manage radioactive waste
- Ensures initial and ongoing training of personnel
- Control and maintenance of premises and equipment
- Takes care of day-to-day issues including personnel management, accounting, AP, AR management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Minimum education (or substitute experience) required: Professional level of knowledge equivalent to a four-year college degree in chemistry / radiochemistry.
- Minimum experience required: 8 years of related experience combining radiochemistry, radioactivity production, GMP Drug Production and direct managerial and supervisory experience.
- Abilities and skills required: Knowledge of radiochemistry, production and commercial operations. Ability to solve problems and develop new products
- Certificates, licenses, registrations: N/A
- Computer skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, counting software, and nuclear data software
- Other qualifications: Experience with machining tools a plus
