Director of Maintenance and Security Job at CC Young
CC Young, a Continuing Care Retirement Community and a not-for-profit leader in Senior Housing and Health Care, has an immediate opening for a Director of Maintenance and Security to be responsible for facilities management, future facility and building planning, and management and overview of security operations.
Monday- Friday with occasional nights and weekends
Pay Starting at $70,000
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Oversees all landscaping, electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, mechanical, heating and cooling and water system repair, vendors and maintenance .
- Monitors all maintenance requests to ensure accurate and timely completion. Conducts quality control inspections.
- Oversees campus security activities.
- Hires, trains, and monitors the performance of Maintenance and Security employees, contractors, and vendors. Takes corrective action as needed.
- Identifies, vets, selects/hires, and manages all maintenance and security vendors/contractors.
- Develops, maintains and revises plans for emergency operations. Coordinates Fire and Disaster Plan implementation.
- Coordinates, apartment remodeling and other apartment upgrades.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Our new team member will possess the following minimum qualifications:
- Experience in engineering, construction management or related field or equivalent work experience, preferably within a large, multi-building Health Care property.
- 5+ years of recent experience managing the activities of a 24/7 staff of maintenance and security personnel.
- Proven knowledge of all phases of facility operations, maintenance and repair, planning, scheduling, management/administration of the facility, federal state and local regulations, and safety practices.
- Knowledgeable of and experience with state and local safety, fire, construction, and public access regulations.
- Experience in developing project cost estimates and budgets, including selection of and negotiating with prospective vendors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with all levels of Company, resident, visitor, vendor, and governmental personnel.
- Willingness and ability to be on-call and work holidays and weekends as needed.
- Proven computer skills utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
