Director of Lodging & Property Management Job at Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure
The Director of Lodging & Property Management is primarily responsible for oversight of lodging operations and property management to ensure exceptional service is delivered to all property owners and guests. The Director is also responsible for profit & loss management, leveraging market data to influence business sustainment and new business development; and overseeing lodging strategies and standards that make Rumbling Bald an idyllic retreat for outdoor exploration and relaxation.
Essential Job Functions:
- Engage with clients to improve their experience, receive feedback and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Generate new business opportunities by initiating contact with property owners
- Oversee the management of the Front Desk, Reservations and Housekeeping operations.
- Participate in hiring, training, coaching and performance evaluation of Lodging associates.
- Promote teamwork through daily communication with Lodging associates and other department leaders.
- Analyze market aspects and strategies to generate higher occupancy rates.
- Prepare Lodging forecasts, reports, budget development and monitoring.
- Manage profit & loss statements to achieve financial objectives.
- Contribute as a member of the management team, participate in management meetings, collaborate on problem-solving and provide ideas for growth and areas of improvement.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business or hospitality preferred.
- North Carolina Real Estate License required.
- Minimum of three years prior management experience in property management, hotels or vacation rentals.
- Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with property owners, guests, associates and vendors.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include evening, weekends and holidays.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required; LiveRez or Northstar experience is preferred.

- Must be able to withstand working in a variety of weather conditions including sunlight and a hot/humid summer climate.
