About this job...
The Human Resources Director originates and leads Human Resource practices and objectives driving a team-oriented, high performance culture emphasizing empowerment, quality, and productivity. Serving as a business thought-partner, the Human Resources Director reports to the General Manager and is on the hotel’s Executive Team. Key objectives include recruitment and retention of a high-performing team, coaching and development, adherence to business processes, and focus on industry trends and metrics to drive hotel business goals.
What you'll be doing...

  • Develop and manage relationships with property leadership team in support of positive associate relations, providing coaching and development as needed
  • Balance and prioritize operational and HR needs while driving company and hotel-specific initiatives and programs
  • Develop, recommend, and promote proactive strategies and programs to facilitate a positive employee experience to avoid and/or mitigate labor disruptions and disputes
  • Provide business partners with day-to-day counsel and advice regarding employment policies/decisions
  • When needed, represent the Company in legal proceedings and community efforts and serve as the management representative during interactions with Local, State & Federal representatives in meetings, investigations, and other legal related activities
  • Provide effective performance management guidance through coaching, counseling, career development, and support of electronic performance management tracking
  • Lead recruitment and retention initiatives, supporting team members throughout the onboarding and training lifecycle
  • Support safety and security initiatives by collaborating with hotel staff and workplace safety programs and providers
  • Advise business partners on ethical practices to ensure compliance with laws and regulations

Requirements...
Experience:

  • 5+ years of progressive Hospitality Human Resource experience, with a proven track record of success
  • 3+ years progressive experience working in union and non-union environments with strong focus on labor and employee relations
  • Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent education and experience
  • Active HR Certification preferred

Communication:

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and listening skills
  • Bi/Multi-Lingual preferred

Physical:

  • 8+ hours per day at desk/computer
  • Sit, stand, walk frequently throughout the workday

Pay: $105,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
