The Position

With limited guidance from the Vice President of e-Learning and Learning Enterprises, this position independently directs many of the aspects of Domestic and International e-Learning programs; blended programs as well as course design for those programs and Continuing Education courses. This position also oversees the daily operations of e-Learning with more of a specific focus on the Lead Instructional Designers? project content quality and completion. This position works closely with designated Deans and Learning Enterprises personnel to ensure a seamless operation and positive academic experience from recruitment to degree completion. The position contributes to new initiative planning, coordination and implementation. This position also oversees and maintains sensitive and confidential information related to all activities and aspects of the program and its participants.

What You Will Do

1. Provides leadership, strategic planning, and ongoing support in the use of emerging educational technologies and alternative pedagogies in collaboration with key offices and key stakeholders.

2. Oversees and manages the operational aspects Domestic and International e-Learning programs, blended programs as well as course design for those programs and Continuing Education courses in collaboration with designated College personnel.

3. Directs a team of Lead Instructional Designers engaged in multiple design projects and ensures those assigned projects produce an acceptable level of quality in course content and are completed within established time frames.

4. Conducts new market research; assists with new business development as well as partnership and services implementation.

5. Assists with the operational administration of all domestic and international e-Learning operations including technology, marketing, recruitment, retention and data analytics.

6. Prepares and delivers relevant presentations designed to promote the College and the programs initiatives.

7. Initiates and assists with grant development opportunities.

8. Administers, coordinates services for, and provides ongoing support of a variety of educational technology systems including, but not limited to, the learning management system, lecture capture, video-on-demand, assessment management system and online readiness and quality measurement tools.

9. Manages instructional design training, support and quality for online courses and programs; facilitates the measurements in place for Quality Matters and scorecards.

10. Other related duties as assigned.

The Successful Candidate Must Have

1. Master's Degree in Business, Education, Distance Learning, or Related Field.

2. Five years of progressively responsible experience that included the fairly independent management of an operational unit, program or function and exposure to the development and implementation of strategic plans, project management, report writing and assessment requiring excellent leadership, communication and analytical skills.

3. Four years of prior leadership and/or supervisory experience with accountability for department,
unit, and/or team results.

4. Minimum of three years’ experience in higher education in the field of instructional technology.

5. Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and other related software systems to independently create detailed reports, documents, etc. and deliver basic training on systems.
