Job Summary
Filling every occasion with great food and service! We are currently seeking a Senior Catering Director for a high volume catering operation at Texas A&M University, a premiere account located in College Station, TX. The selected candidate will maintain and establish all costs and quality standards to ensure outstanding service and to improve profits. You will lead a catering team with a direct line to the client. You are expected to maintain excellent relationships with employees, guests and the client. You will be responsible for promoting the professional growth and development of the entire team. In addition, you will cultivate strong interdepartmental relations and integrate the catering service department with the facility plan of operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develops and implements effective strategies to build catering revenue
• Ensures all catering events are carried out according to standards of the company and client
• Ensures high levels of customer service are executed for each event
• Generates effective client and customer rapport for mutually beneficial business relationships
• Provides orientation and training for all Catering Directors/Managers regarding company standards of service
• Supports Catering Directors/Managers with staffing budgets and maintains financial accountabilities as it relates to catering service

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred or equivalent professional experience
• Strong knowledge of food, industry trends and fine dining points of service
• A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in managing catering events
• ServSafe certification
• Superior quantitative, oral and written communications and problem-solving/strategizing skills
• Excellent overall computer skills with advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
• Proactive mindset to anticipate and support changes in our business
• Conformity to the highest standards of personal integrity and ethical behavior
• Exceptional customer service abilities
