As the Director of Global Service Engineering, you will be at the intersection of Service, R&D, and Operations.

You will work with US-based Service leaders and global partners across our Breast & Skeletal Health and Diagnostics Solutions divisions to harmonize the delivery model for Service Engineering. You will also partner with commercial, service, and business unit leaders to ensure the delivery of end-to-end customer solutions and ensure a pacesetter mentality in terms of preventative maintenance delivery.

This role will foster an environment of creativity and innovation to build a new standardized and streamlined approach to global service engineering. You will define and implement a comprehensive strategy that will enable service consistency, drive top-line revenue, reduce complexity and costs, and provide a single source of truth for all service engineering capabilities, therefore improving quality and driving customer satisfaction.

Key Outcomes:

  • Partner effectively across the enterprise to drive standardization, optimization, and buy-in to future operating model
  • Innovate and influence R&D and Post-market Quality to implement an end-to-end design for serviceability standard.
  • Work within our new product development/insight driven innovation programs to ensure service engineering capabilities are well embedded within the franchise models
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Quality, and Operations to improve product reliability and product lifecycle management
  • Refine and implement recommended global service engineering effectiveness metrics, KPI’s, and dashboards
  • Ensure processes and systems are in place to support new product launches and enhancements and products acquired through business development initiatives
  • Responsible for content, implementation, and overall quality of training for Field Service, Technical Support, other technical customer-facing roles.
  • Responsible for systems and processes to manage customer escalations. Provision of global guidance to best practice is essential
  • Effectively conduct analysis of external trends and identify internal opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Build and develop technical leadership talent bench through effective selection and development planning for high potential individual contributors and managers

Do you have what it takes?

You are an experienced leader with at least 5 years as a Sr. Manager and/or Director, with an engineering background. You have been heavily involved in new product launches, design for product service and sustainment, depot repair, technical support, networking, device connectivity, and technical training.

You are an avid problem-solver with impeccable attention to detail and are highly influential and adaptable to working in a fast-paced, matrix environment.

You work well as part of a cross-functional team, you have strong interpersonal skills and possess high levels of influence to drive process improvement and change management.

You relish opportunities to partner with Marketing, Sales, and commercial teams to create scalable solutions driving effective customer outcomes, new revenue streams, and cost efficiencies.

Additional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required
  • A minimum of 15 years of progressive technical experience
  • Minimum 5 years leading cross-functional technical teams, resource and budget management and strategic development competency
  • Experience in Supply Chain, ERP, and CRM Systems; Lean methodology desired
  • Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time including international and overnight stays

The annualized base salary range for this role is $159,400 to $283,300 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
