We are a private, 501c3 non-profit mental and behavioral health provider with residential locations in Little Rock and Monticello. Our programs address typical concerns that individuals today encounter along with serving specific populations such as socially and emotionally challenged and at-risk youth, runaway youth, victims of human trafficking, and children and or adolescents suffering from a variety of mental and behavioral challenges.
Position Summary:
The QBHP staff at The Centers will provide skills training and support to each of the students who reside at The Centers. This position requires that the suitable individual maintain a balance of awareness of an individual’s perspective in conjunction with the safety and diversity of the group. The QBHP Staff will perform many duties that range from teaching basic skills (such as washing clothes) to assisting the students in regulating their emotions. The QBHP staff must possess the ability to be flexible and compassionate, as well as consistent in their approach to students who have endured trauma.
Qualifications of QBHP:
· High School diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, and 21 years of age and older
· Unwavering commitment to quality programs and excellence in organization
· Experience in the Human Service and/or Mental Health Field preferred
· Experience working with at-risk children and youth preferred
· An individual who can manage multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in a complex and high-paced environment with multiple priorities
· High comfort level working in diverse environments
· Knowledge of trauma informed care and Sex Trafficking preferred
· Must pass criminal background check and drug/alcohol screening
Essential Job Functions
· Provide trauma informed, strength-based, survivor centered services that include; safety planning, advocacy, goal development and obtainment, relationship building and empowerment
· Ensure daily activities are conducted consistent with the approved program schedule and documented as they occur; confirm approval of any changes to the schedule for the special events or activities with program director in advance and with proper communication of these changes
· Establish rapport by demonstrating and maintaining clear, consistent, appropriate, and ethical boundaries
· Ensure all program issues and incidents are identified, addressed, communicated, and documented
· Maintain confidentiality of residents, locations of Centers, and follow agency policy and procedures regarding confidentiality
· Provide encouragement, positive role modeling and life skills through “teachable” moments
· Ensure a welcoming environment that supports and respects all survivors regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation
· Transport youth to and from appointments and on community outing, while maintaining safety
· Maintain daily progress on youth goals through written progress notes during designated shift
· Attend and participate in staff meetings regarding youth and house matters
· May work with a variety of staff, including case manager, therapist, program director, and outside contacts such as law enforcement, DHS, family members, etc.
· Trained in Advanced CPI
· Trained in CPR/First Aid
Physical Demands
· Potential to work a variety of shifts, including day, swing, or overnight
· Overnight staff must remain awake at all times
· Ability to drive a motor vehicle
· Potential for lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, repetitive movements, kneeling, and standing for long periods of time
