Job Summary:

The Digital Media Coordinator supports the public relations needs of the university and advances internal and external communications strategies. This non-remote position creates, distributes, and manages timely, relevant and current content while working to continuously improve effectiveness. The selected candidate will manage the main University and Enrollment social media channels and assist other non-athletic departments with strategy, scheduling and content.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with the development and execution of digital media relations strategies in support of the University, its mission, goals and values• Assist with the development and creation of general University messages and stories

  • Successfully expand the University’s brand and social media footprint
  • Monitoring digital media trends
  • Keep content fresh on Lourdes digital platforms and external digital profiles
  • Manage media tracking and provide regularly scheduled analytics
  • Coordinate digital news content requests
  • Demonstrated dedication to diversity, equity and inclusion and its incorporation in marketing and public relations work
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary and sensitive information and continuity of official messaging
  • Effectively represent and communicate the University mission as appropriate
  • Assist with crisis communication plans and delivery as needed
  • Meet and strive to exceed monthly, quarterly and annual goals
  • Assist with media briefings and special events
  • Assist with marketing campaigns and initiatives
  • Develop content for various University vehicles including digital and print publications (university magazine, website, blogs, social media accounts)
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Professional Skills

  • Proficient in social media strategy, content generation and scheduling on Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and Pinterest
  • Proven track record of success with social media paid and unpaid campaigns

• Strong media analytic skills• Knowledge of marketing strategies, tactics and measurables• Ability to communicate professionally and diplomatically both verbally, in writing and on digital platforms

  • Proficient in traditional and social media marketing/communications
  • Strong copyediting skills
  • Comfortable completing photography and video projects including editing
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop and Premiere Pro
  • Assisting with enrollment communications
  • Knowledge and use of SEO and SEM strategies to drive results
  • Knowledge of website content management and customer relationship management systems
  • Demonstrate strong work ethic and productive use of time to meet and/or exceed goals
  • Working knowledge of Lourdes database and other data management systems
  • Computer expertise
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or a related field
  • 2-3 years of experience working in marketing or communications
  • Ability to take initiative and multitask
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule as needed for media/marketing purposes
  • This position requires selected candidate to work onsite. This is not a remote position
  • Possess strong organizational and project management skills

• Work well in a team or independently• Able to set priorities
