Dental Receptionist Job Description
Warren Dentistry is looking to hire a personable dental receptionist to ensure that day-to-day operations are completed professionally and in a timely manner. The correct candidate will be able to create and update patient records, schedule patient appointments and maintain the appearance and order of the dental office.
To be successful as a dental receptionist, you should be able to organize and maintain patient waiting areas and front-desk areas. Ultimately, a top-performing dental receptionist will perform all duties in a manner that ensures the efficient running of the dental practice.
Dental Receptionist Responsibilities:
● Greeting and welcoming patients to the practice
● Scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling appointments as needed. Contacting patients to offer appointment openings.
● Assisting patients to fill out information forms.
● Preparing patients’ charts and daily schedules for the dental staff.
● Updating patient records and documenting recent treatments and procedures.
● Scheduling follow-up appointments and providing telephonic reminders.
● Communicating with dental insurance to verify benefits and patient percentages
● Collecting patient payments, as needed.
● Creating and presenting to the patient treatment plans
● Performing general office duties, such as answering telephones, photocopying, filing, and faxing.
Dental Receptionist Requirements:
● High school diploma or GED.
● Working knowledge of general administrative practices.
● Excellent telephone etiquette and organizational skills
● Detail oriented
● Excellent customer service skills.
● Experience in dental office is preferred but not required
● Ability to learn dental terminology and dental practice management software

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
