Deckhand's Needed Job at Catalina Classic Cruises
About the Company:
Catalina Classic Cruise, Is a reliable means of transportation to get campers to Sea camp safe and sound while in season as well as an event boat for adults at night some days.( Please note this is not a cruise line. We only work out of Long Beach Ca.)
The Role:
Deckhand currently is a part time position. As a deckhand, you are responsible for maintaining cleanliness, maintenance of the interior and exterior of our boats and keeping all guest safe while boarding, disembarking and riding our boats.
Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the deckhand include:
- Boarding all guests safely.
- Line and rope handling while tying and untying lines
- Clean up after all embarkments and make vessel ready for next departure.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be minimum of 18 years of age.
- Customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task in a changing environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
- Prior boat experience is a plus but not necessary.
Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time on a moving vessel
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, stretch, push and pull on a regular basis.
- Must have a full range of overhead motions
- Must pass a drug test and background
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.50 - $16.50 per hour

Facemasks are to be worn by guest and employees, Sanitizing all surfaces when needed, thoroughly clean after guest have disembarked, and hand sanitizing stations are located in multiple places on the boats.
