What You Will Be Doing
The Data Security Analyst is responsible for network operations of Virtual Private Network (VPN) circuits, wide area network (WAN), campus area network (CAN), and local area network (LAN) equipment and interconnections for approximately 700 sites. Management of network monitoring, network configuration, implementation/installation projects and voice services.
Responsibilities:
- Performs all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction.
- Interfaces with user community to understand their security needs and implements procedures to accommodate them.
- Ensures that user community understands and adheres to necessary procedures to maintain security.
- May require familiarity with domain structures, user authentication, and digital signatures.
- Conducts accurate evaluation of the level of security required.
- May require understanding of firewall theory and configuration.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks
Requirements:
- Possess a SECRET clearance
- Must have data security experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present and defend design rationales.
