ON Semiconductor is seeking a self-driven and motivated Data Analyst (New College Graduate) to join the Manufacturing Operational Excellence (MOE) team. As a Data Analyst, you will have the opportunity to learn all aspects of semiconductor manufacturing operations, research and analyze data; build data pipelines; develop data insights and patterns, build data models and develop visualizations in support of onsemi’s Global Operations.

The Manufacturing Operational Team supports all aspects of Global Operations including industrial engineering, cost management, manufacturing operations, supply chain operations, procurement operations, strategic operations, quality and facilities management.

Performance Objectives:

• Research, analyze and organize data to build data pipelines

• Mine, extract and transform data into usable data sets

• Analyze large amounts of information to deliver business insights and data-driven business decisions

• Develop data visualizations in support of onsemi’s Global Operations including reports, dashboards, control towers and analytics

• Develop prediction systems and machine learning algorithms

• Present results in a clear manner

• Propose solutions and strategies to tackle business challenge

• Collaborate with Business and IT teams

Qualifications

Required

• Postgraduate Degree in Management Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Operational Research, Statistics or related field

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Proven self-starter

• Proactive problem-solving skills

• Analytical mind and great business sense

• Ability to adapt and work well with shifting priorities

• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills

Preferred (Course work or direct experience)

• Experience with cloud offering such as Azure, AWS, Oracle Cloud, Google Cloud

• Experience with Bi tools such as Tableau, Qlikview

• Knowledge programming languages Python, SQL, Java, C++

• Applied statistical skills, including knowledge of statistical tests, distributions, regression, maximum likelihood estimators, etc.

• Machine learning methods like k-Nearest Neighbors, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests

• Strong Math Skills (Multivariable Calculus and Linear Algebra)

• Proficiency in handling imperfections in data

• Excellent Communication

• Semiconductor operations
