Customer Service Representative Job at City of Oak Grove Kentucky
The City of Oak Grove is seeking a Customer Service Representative to work in our utility office. The ideal candidate must project a friendly and professional attitude. In addition to being an excellent communicator (written and verbal), you will also demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills. This is a full-time position with benefits. Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm. The City of Oak Grove is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
Responsibilities:
- Assist management with day-to-day operations in the utility department.
- Respond to customer service issues in a timely manner.
- Process returned checks, balance cash drawers, and prepare bank deposits
- Assist with new utility accounts, identify delinquent accounts, and close customer accounts
- Maintain accurate records and document all customer service activities and discussions.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Minimum requirements:
- The ability to be bonded through the City’s insurance company
- 1 years of experience in an office environment
- Customer Service experience
- Possess a valid driver’s license
Preferred:
- Experience in utility billing and collections
Pay: $17.03 - $23.37 per hour
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,424.17 - $48,627.30 per year
